Bearbox Logistics Lockers - How it Works
Completely keyless/cardless operation. Units are accessed by manually entered PIN or barcode. Smart card/RFID option if required. Barcode can be combined with PIN for added security.
Each door can be in one of four modes:
Static – Door permanently assigned to one or more users, users can access door at any time and carriers can make multiple deliveries without owner having to collect parts.
Dynamic – Door available for ad-hoc deliveries. Carrier has option to choose appropriate door size and recipient notified of collection PIN by SMS.
Inventory/ASL – Multiple items scanned in/out of door. Record maintained of stock levels.
Overflow – If consignments too large for any of the modes above they can be split into multiple doors.
BearBox Logistics Locker Operational Overview
PINs have start and stop dates so they automatically expire if not used within set window. Customers access via a fixed "Owner’s PIN" or a one-off "Collection PIN". Delivery PINs can be specific to a consignment, carrier or both.
Customer notifications and one-off collection codes sent by SMS or e-mail. Users can define when they want to start receiving these alerts.
Customers can deposit returns and specify collection service required (e.g. Urgent, Next Day, recycling).
